Default Loss of power Disco 2 V8

I have a Discovery 2 V8 2001. 150,000 miles now but regularly serviced by LR specialists and normally running well. Have noticed as it gets older it's wise to start it and let it warm up before driving. Drove yesterday without doing this and noticed minor juddering and, more worryingly, loss of power when running. Does this sound familiar to anyone? At last service I was told new leads might be needed. Could this be it or might it be something more sinister? Chris

What octane gas are you using, do you have a service engine light on, if so go get the codes read and get back to us with the 4 digit fault codes? When was it last tuned, have you ever replaced the plug wires?

Thanks for your reply. Don't know octane, but it's the regular (UK) unleaded which I've always used. No light showing. Vehicle regularly serviced (no special tuning as such), but suspect plug wires/leads are the originals. Does it sound like this may be the problem?
