Alarm activates at random.
I have a 1998 discovery 1, 50th anniversary edition with a 3.9 V8 engine, I have owned the car twelve and a half years now and in that time have had very few problems. However 12 days ago the alarm sounded for no apparent reason, the key fob buttons unlocked and locked the doors but didn't stop the alarm, after a few minutes it stopped and everything seemed normal. all the windows were closed also the bonnet, there is no sunroof. Then yesterday the same thing happened while it was parked in the carport outside my house. everything seems OK and everything works.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem and what is the cure?
