Hi can anyone help out? I have a 2005 Disco 3. The alarm seems to go off ramdomly, not windy conditions or someone nearby. Can sometimes be 1 or 6 hours after it has been locked up.
I live remotely so mechanic is over 600km away.

Are you leaving a window open, if so that will cause it. Otherwise maybe a bad hood switch.

 

Thanks Mike, I have already checked both suggestions and neither seem to be the problem. Looks like I have to perseveere until I go to the city next time. Thanks for your help though

I am not sure if Your LR3 is like a D2 or not, but you might try locking with the key instead of the FOB, I believe by doing this you won't set the alarm.
