Default Any ideas? Transmission and acceleration related queries WHAT IS GOING ON?!

Hello Everyone,

I’m new to this forum, but I follow some of the threads sort of as an outsider. You know what they say sometimes it’s an issue or observation or something of the sort that makes one come out of the shadows and speak up.

Long story short, I have a 2016 v8 supercharged which cost me an arm and a leg. I originally purchased from a less than reputable source and as soon as the purchase was finalized I realized the car had some big problems–well, I didn’t realize it until it materialized and the car itself shut down and stopped working with check engine light and gearbox issue. Ultimately, the car would start but would fail to get into gear. Additionally, the coolant had so much pressure that it bust the cap.

Anyway, that’s water under the bridge now seeing as I took the vehicle to a reputable Land Rover specialist who diagnosed a faulty transmission. After footing a large bill, including some other minor fixes (hoses, sensors etc.) the car is in perfect condition.

I just noticed that though it rides excellent, Thank God, it is not as aggressive and sort of fast (i guess you could say) as before the issue. Before, with a slight touch of the pedal, it would accelerate really fast and push you back in your seat sort of. Like a lot of torque I guess. But now, its kind of slow off the line and it waits until the revs are a bit higher to kick in the supercharger. I don’t know what it is, maybe it is because in the meantime I was driving a 2021 SVR so I got used to that power maybe?

But, I’d like to hear from the professionals here I know you fellows know your stuff so if anyone could chime in with their thoughts I’d be a happier camper.

Hope to hear your opinions! Thanks
