Hi everyone just bought a 1999 discov back door will not open. Took it a part to find the outside handle was disconected. Still cant open door can antone help. Thanks

 

Take and pop the LR emblem off the back of the door.
Use silicon spray and lube the handle and work it, lube, work, repeat until the door opens.
Once open lube it more and lube the latch as well.
Open and close the door several times.
Lube the lock, put the key in and lock/unlock several times.
Open the door all the way and lube the door stay under the door, that is the thing the door slides on to open/close.
Now go and do every other door hinge/latch/key hole/hood latch & cable/fuel door lock and hinge.
Do this every 6 months and you wont have problems.
If it moves it must be lubed.

 

Hi spike the plastic clip was broke off the inside of door. fixed that so the outside handle moves freely. but door still dont open. Could it be the door actuator. I have the pannal off the in side every thing seems to move freely. O yes its a 1999 dicov 2
