Does it not open from the outside or inside or both?

You probably need to adjust the handle linkage.

Is the outer handle frozen ? They rust at the pin hinge as soon as they can. I found one on Ebay for ten bucks, that & some skinned knuckles solved it.

Default 97 Land Rover back passenger door will not open.

The inner and outer handle are not frozen, and "feel" like the others that work!! The door just does not open!

well, if the inner and outer handles are moving freely, then it must be what's in between... there's a pretty good detailed picture of the linkages in Rave, there's a whole bunch of little linkage rods in there that have these little plastic retaining clips that pop off. Straightforward, just a PITA

I have the same issue. I am able to use my key to open the door but cannot just simply pull the handle.

I sprayed mine with WD-40 and afterwords it worked great from both the inside and outside. Cheap fix...

Yep, happened to me as well. Popped out the land rover logo and saturated with PB Blaster. Good as new...
