bearings question??
My 2007 RR supercharged needs new front bearings..that grinding noise is getting louder and bothersome...:
I was told to replace the bearings ONLY and not the all hub assembly to fix the problem...is this a good idea?
How much time in labor does it require??
Thanks

Yes that was good advice , because the hub is just the housing for the bearing ,you wont need to change it , the bearings/race may will need to be pressed out by a machine shop ..
the reason people change the complete thing is because ,the salvage ( used parts ) yards sell the complete assembly just to bolt on with the bearings and all , BUT !!! it a gamble because it could be just as bad as yours.. unless it from a RR that you know the history of.
But you should act on it , because if the bearing shells out ( breaks up ) it will cause more damage in the long run .
