Default Brake Light

Hey guys, I am a issue with my brake light on the dash. It is on when i start up and it goes off and comes back on at will. I have checked the brakes, and the fluids andI can see nothing wrong. Please if you could shed some light on this please let me know.

Thanks,

Ken

I cant believe I forgot to add all that information, gotta blame that on the holiday stress. I have a 2000 Discovery 2. It is the dash brake light. The one when you pull the parking brake up it lights up. Its always on when i start and it goes off and comes on randomly while I drive. If you have any ideas to try please let me know. I have had this since 2001 and have not had any problems. I have 132k miles and about to take it in to get the next service done, but was wanting to start doing some things myself, I got a disk with all the service information but im not a mechanic so it will be a slow process to learn.

Thanks,

Ken

I would say the e-brake needs to be adjusted to correct the light problem.
If you want help on doing your own services and saving alot of money, I would be glad to walk you thru what needs to be done.
