Default brake un-evenatually worn out

2 and half month back i went and changed the brakes including the front discs at that time the front left pad was totaly worn out and it eat up the discs, while the write one was less and they were like 10months old now when i changed it almost 3 months back the mecanic informed not to worry it might be bla bla bla which i could not figure it out nor it did make a sence. now only yesterday my brakes started squishing and even when i am runing on low speed and the sound would go when i slightly hit the brakes so took it to another workshop to have a look and we found out that the
- front right total worn out
- left right like 80% worn out
- left rear barely 30% worn out
- right rear total worn out

and the thing is not the 2 pad are worn out only one of the pair and the other one would be almost new

have any 1 had similar encouters and what could probably be the reason as again this work shop started to give explanation which only some 1 in the land of dunno what can understand and i am not to go on try and error as it would cost a fortune and reach to now where. last i did take the risk again yesterday and did the brakes only did not let him touch anything else till i get with some answer from a workshop that would seem real.
i did intentialy avoid the dealer as can not imagine his charge i would have to sell the car,

thanks in advance for your help

regards

its model 2001 with 134,000KM on it arround 90,000 Miles
there was one thing which used to happened just before i changed the brakes was the the ABS, TC, HD, and the hand brake light would illimunate suddnely all together especially when in trafic, i would turn the car off and on again and the lights would go off,

just for the record like almost a year ago had the famous TC, HD and ABS light comes all togethe rand refusing to go off again, took it to the dealer and they estimated a bill of more than 1500US$ which kept in shock so i surched for an outsider and found one workshop who told me that its all about brakes are due to be changed and a valve which need to be cleaned a bill of like 300US$ so i took the risk and gave it to him, now this , so any clues? or connection between that valve and the brakes??

As update
i took my disco to the agency and had this problem looked at and got it done by them . according to the dealer they changed some pins in the caliper (dunno what this means ) as the left front side pin was bent a bit due to tear and wear issues related to temp.
Have any 1 came accross something like this or knew about
appreciate your feed back

best regards

If the pins thathold in the brake pads get stuck or bent, the brake pad will not move properly and then you get the wear you had.

Based on my experience, you have more going on than just a few bent pins. You most likely have brake caliper pistons that are binding up ---what is referred to as a "frozen caliper". It happens on these vehicles, and is more of a problem in climates where winter weather means salt layed down on public roads.

Have the shop confirm that the caliper pistons are free to retract into the caliper body on all four corners of the vehicle. AND--- they have to do this by first cracking open the bleed screws on each caliper or they WILL force sediment from the caliper body back up and into the ABS pump, where all sorts of problems can surface. If they do not know what I am talking about here--- get your Land Rover out of that shop before they cost you thousands of dollars for half-assed repairs.
