Default Burning / Leaking Oil

My 2003 Discovery is beginning to burn oil; about 2 qts per 3000 miles. It also is starting to drip. The truck has 78,000 miles. Oil changed routinely @ 3000 mile intervals. Any ideas?
Thanks Luke

We don't even know what color your truck is and you want us to tell you where it is leaking.
Why don't you go degrease it and then power scrub the engine so "YOU" can give us a better idea what is happening???
That is what we would have to do if ours was leaking.

2qt per 3000 mi. sounds about right.
Unless it stinks or smokes you're
probably ok.

Do you see any blue smoke coming from the exhaust?

2 quarts per 3000 is excessive.
My 88 with 100,000 plus doesn't drop a drip worth over the 4000 mile oil change using synthetic.
