A.c.e system
Hi we have a discovery 2 1999
we have taken it to several mechanics because we had a leak from a line after several attempts by them to fix it it still leaked. So the pump blew out all the oil and seized! have replaced the ace pump. We still have a leak which is now worse than before. It appears to be coming from the air inlet on the actuator have replaced a seal on an oil pipe that was inferior and the seal on the inlet but it is still pouring ace pump fluid. Any ideas on how to fix it?
No body in Tassie seems to have any REAL knowledge on Landrovers or there specialised systems we have spent a huge amount of money which we do not have and are now vehicle less until its fixed

Without Active Cornering:
With Active Cornering:
Now you may have some codes or a check engine light, but at least vehicle would be usable, don't drive like fool. Some have swapped belts to avoid running the pump while other repairs were waiting on funding to be approved.

If she is in Tasmania, I thought Rovers were pretty popular....
But if you can't drive the truck, a belt change may be an option until better wrencher can be located.
The system is pretty sophisticated, it even uses vehicle speed to adjust how much "tilt" is applied, and it cuts off below like 2 mph. Lots of pieces.

Hi yes Tassie as in Tasmania and although rovers a pretty popular as soon as you say ace system they all seem to have a mental melt down. One told us all he wants to do is rip out ace systems and put in a pulley , disconnect reservoir and replace sway bars with solid sway bars. He of course has only done this twice so hubby went hmmm dunno.

There must be good mechanics somewhere. The RAVE shop manual is a free download for you to look over. As you have "discovered" loss of fluid is very bad for pumps. Note: Taz is a popular cartoon figure from the old days. He is quite popular these days with a number of groups.
