Default CAN'T FIND PARTS ? Double twin-coil distributorless ignition system ?

I used the free VIN look-up and the equiptment stated that I have Double twin-coil distributorless ignition system w/dual knock sensors ? I have a 1999 RR 4.0SE that people tell me is a P38 body style. Here is my problem I am trying to debug a no start - no run problem that happens sometimes ? I thought it was bad gas because my daughter just bought this RR and after (120 miles ) filling it up for the first time it started to Knock, Ping, and shut off. Now after draining the tank and filling with 93 octane gas it ran good for 15 miles then again either no start (air in rack) or Knock, Ping, and shut off. Try it in a few minutes 10-15 and runs good again. Check engine was reset after code P1177+P1316 was found and I was told by the dealer it was low octane gas ?
I was going to change the Fuel filter ,spark plugs, wires and coil but I can't find the parts ? When I look up 1999 everything looks different than whats in the truck now ? It seems that 99 was a split year early/newer ? should I order 98 parts ? Does anyone have a parts list or link My coil looks like this LANDROVER RANGE ROVER V8 IGNITION COIL ERR6269 WA410481

You have a P38, the question is do you have a GEMS or Bosch motor. If you look at the top intake manifold(directly above motor), is it a rectangle with the sign 4.0(GEMS), or does the top have a manifold with tubes and no numbers(BOSCH). Both use coil packs, GEMS you can see the coil pack at the back, Bosch it is hidden by the intake.

Hope that helps.

drowssap is right. If the picture of the coil pack you have listed in your thread is the one you actually have in your truck then you do have a GEMS 4.0L engine, not a Bosch. It seems a few early P38's came through with the Generic Engine Management System (GEMS). Use the 1998 parts listing for your vehicle and you will get the right part numbers for your GEMS truck.
