Default check engine light

I have 2003 discovery se 7 the Check engine light came on trouble code read misfire in cylinder 4 erased code. two weeks later new code read cayalyst exceeds lower threshold limit bank 1 what does this mean any help will be useful.

So what have you done to try and correct this so far, how many miles on the engine, has it been tuned yet if so with wires and when?

the motor has 65,000 I just bought it dont know the history, i was wanting to no what actions could done to correct this problem. Or what could be the causes. THANK YOU.

start by doing the 60k service sticky in the disco section. after that is all worked out then come back and let us know if you are still having any problems if you are still getting error codes after give us the 4 digit codes you are getting.

imo??? so there is no relation to the check engine light and the new battery i installed??? thanks for the info
