Default Click sound when braking. 95 D1

Hello all.
Did the famed Whipsaw trail in BC Canada. Everything was great, especially the abilities of the D1, in stock form, except for tires (KM3 225/75 16)
I noticed that after the trip. I now get this moderate loud click sound when braking. It seem to come from the front. I just recently replaced the swivel pin oil, along with all the other fluids (TC, transmission with screen, engine oil, brake fluid, coolant) all within the last 2000 miles.
Im suspecting the CV are needing to be replaced.
I had the front wheels off a had a mild look, when I exchanged the KM3 to my road tires.
Any input on suggestions on what the issue is?
Is CV joint replacement doable by me,
the amateur home mechanic?

Could be the sound of a suspension component shifting when the effect of braking places force on it. I've had the radius arm contact the axle housing just enough to make a sound when braking due to bad bushings. Shocks will do this, too.

Yes it could be the bushings and/ or the shocks both are original to the vehicle. I’m considering replacing shocks as they feel soft.
Thanks for time reply, I’ll look at those areas
