Code PO420
Hey all,
I'm new to the forums and in fact just purchased my very first LR today. I bought a Disco I. It's got a 111,000 miles on it and seems to be mechanically sound. I don't really have anything to base the facts against, but as a precautionary method I decided to take my Disco to Autozone today after I got it so they could pull the codes. It's showing a PO420 which has something to do with the cat. I can tell no major issue with how she drives, but nonetheless, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Thanks,
More specifically it say that bank 1, the drivers side is not up to full efficiency.
You need a cat and with your mileage I would also suggest you replace all four 02 sensors to get your engine back up to more power and mileage.
You might want to do a search on this forum for a list of things that should be done as part of a purchase on a high mileage Rover.

Hey thanks for the help Mike. I'm going to do a tune up on it as soon as I get the available funds. I've also got your 60k service list printed out and in my glove box. :-) I'll do a search for more stuff and add that to my list.
Thanks again,
Thanks again,
