Default constant unlock signal TD5 series2

Hi All...my TD5 series2 ES Auto 2000model... for last few days has been playing up with the Fob lock/unlock signal....Landrover agent says never seen anything like it...appears the vehicle computer gives a constant unlock signal to the doors. Also there is a intermittent beep/chirp every 5 minutes or so...driving me mad..and a red dash light that freaks out when I use the Fob.. I Fob lock the vehicle...while walking away it unlocks itself most of the time...I hear the door locks jump up....and then still want to jump up again...the beeps still continue anyway intermittently. twice I fob locked/unlocked and my headlights came on...unbelievable...like Ripley's...yesterday the M and S green lights also played a merry dance....
any help or pointers will save me going bald.
landrover here in South Africa quoted like R13k (3day booking at 850 per hour).... and that was just to have a looksee..no guarantee of fixing...help needed big time please.
The Fob battery seems ok...I had it checked.

sounds like a wiring issue. I would look for any water leaks in the a pillar panels and wiring and fuse box.

Default many thanks

I would go with that.....I had a feeling water got in behind somewhere but couldnt see any signs of it...I do know some water has gotten through via my sunroof before when it rains hard....and sometimes I get a drip coming down from behind the cosmetic mirror on left side...also I noticed a rust hole right through my firewall on run-off tray under the bonnet under the windscreen wiper sill.....this could lead directly through to behind the A pillars...and the fuse box under the steering wheel......will looksee
thanks for the interest and help
