courtisy lamps,not working when opening doors

Default courtisy lamps,not working when opening doors

hello ; i have a 2001 range rover 4.6 litre..and all of a sudden my dome lamps. stop turning on when any door is open,but it will turn on if i manualy push the button...i checked all fuses ok ..is there a courtisy dome lamp module or something like that?????????? please help me. solve this mysterrie

Check all of the door latches, use silicon spray and lube them up, the trigger for the lights is in the latches.

Default Courtisy lamps innop

THANKS FOR THE REPLY,IF ONE LATCH IS HUNG UP/STUCK WOULD IT CAUSE ALL DOOR LATCHES TO FAIL ON TURNING ON LAMPS WHILE THE DOORS AND REAR POP UP DOOR??????

Yes, because the courtesy lights are on a timer so as not to drain your battery if you leave a door ajar.
They all run off of the same timer, so if the drivers door is left open and the lights shut off then when you open another door the lights will not come on.
How to find the bad switch I have no idea.
