Default dex cool?

Some say use it, others say no because it becomes acidic. What should a new lr owner believe?

Anyone who says to use it has no idea what they are talking about.

Dexcool was actually an acknowledged mistake by land Rover. Run away from it.

I love this forum but the pop-ups are hard in a phone. Ugh.

I'm not trying to be contrary, but when did they change? My LR3 has dexcool in it, and the owners manual mentions Havoline XLC (which is dexcool).

I've noticed a small leak from either the water pump or the thermostat, and I know dex doesn't like leaks, so when I fix it, I'll flush and switch to something else, so I'm not defending dex cool....
