Difficult Bonnet Release Issue
I have recently begun having issues with my bonnet release not working consistently.
It started a few days ago when the temp dropped to 21 degrees up here in Eastern Washington.
I moved it into my shop hoping it was just frozen, and would thaw out and start working again, but that didn’t happen.
I did finally get it to open, and have removed the grille,
and the two latch mechanisms, and have greased the cable in the areas accessible, and re-attached the latches. Still having problems.
So my question is this:
Is there a way to tighten the cable to ensure proper operation regardless of the ambient temperature conditions, and has it stretched after six years?
