Default Diagnostic tool

I'm looking into getting a diagnostic tool for my 2003 Discovery 2, any recommends out there? I would like one that translates the codes and has a engine service light shut off switch... Thanks

There are many basic ob2, and an UltraGage is very useful.
None of the non LR specific ob2s can read/clear ABS codes.
Hawkeye Cannot program keys.
But, if you want one that does it all, including programming keys, then Nanocom, around $380

Since new to forum need to ask if you have a way to monitor your engine/coolant temperature? The dash gauge is not a good indication and gives little to no warning prior to the engine overheating.

The UltraGage is very useful, can be left plugged into the scanner port and mounted to use as a gauge. ScanGaugeII is a similar device that I use in the same way.

Suggest getting either one of those for the monitoring and easier to use than most generic tools. They will do for the majority of diagnostic needs.

You can use your phone to monitor and basic diagnosis.
