Disco 3 Transmission Range change not available
Hi ,
Recently purchased Disco. 2.7 Manual V6 diesel
Park brake was repaired before I got her.
park brake was not working and I followed a sequenced to “reprogram” which lead to my current problem.
When turning car on - HDC not available and park brake release failure .
this what I did .
1 turn car on and select low range
run through all the gears starting at Reverse , 123456. Turn off and on . Gear selection on the dash is back and park brake release is note is gone , but now the car is stuck in low range.
The message on the dash when turning on the ignition “ Transmisson stange change not available.
What have I done-
1. I have stripped and cleaned the selector button on Centre console. Seems this was opened before as screws where loose.
2. Removed and check battery terminals for corrosion- no problem their.
3 . Remove Ecu behind battery and check for corrosion . No problem their .
What is my next step ?
