I have a disco 97. Every time I go over a bumpmy rear doorrattles as if it is half closed.The hinges look solid to meeven when I try to physically move the door up and down. With the spare mounted on the back I guess there is a lot of weight to bear. Is this a regular disco problem, do the hingesbecome lazy and out of adjustment or is it a problem specific to my car. Can anyone help.

Mine is the same but I was thinking it was my two rear seats.

 

Yes, with time both the hinges and the latch assembly start showing wear. Lube the door check under the door at the hinges, and inspect the latch, probably needs to be clean, lubed and adjusted.
