The windscreen wipers on my discovery 1 have an interesting fault which im hoping that someone here will be able to help me with.

1. The wipers do not self park ever which I presume will be a faulty park switch. Ive read that Defenders have replaced park switches, is this the case with a 300tdi Discovery?

2. Intermittent and slow wipe don't function do nothing when selected although if you switch down from fast to slow the wipers will creep a couple of centimetres before stopping.

3. Fast wipe works fine but doesn't park and on single wipe the wipers will stop as soon as the stalk is released.

replace the wiper motor, I dont know if the park switch inside is available for the discos or not, but a used wiper motor wont be very much, about a hour to do the job.
