Hi everyone,
I have a 2018 disco 5 but it stands for sometimes 2 months between drives since I work overseas. I decided to start using a trickle charger to keep the battery from going flat but once it's connected I can't lock the car even when the bonnet is completely closed and latched. Does anyone know why and/or how lock the car while it's charging because I don't feel safe just leaving my car unlocked for weeks at a time.

Try unplugging the trickle charger from the electrical outlet lock the rover then plug in the trickle charger to an available outlet.
