Hi wondering if someone can help my friend has a land Rover discovery 2 and we have the 3 amigos up also the ECU light is in we have tested the lights with the lynx evo device.

The fault code is saying ECU FAULT CODE 37. We are struggling to find a correct diagnostic.

Clear it and see if the fault comes back... which it will.

 

I have see a lot of references to 3 amigos. What exactly is that as it pertains to a Land Rover?

 

3 Amigos = three lights on the dash...TC, ABS, and the Hill Descent lights. Sometimes you'll get the red BRAKE light for the 4th Amigo.
Dust, noise, a bad hub, dirty fluid, bad abs sensor, bad shuttle valve, bad abs module and faulty/shorted wiring can cause the 3 Amigos.

 

Further, When the Three Amigos are present you will not have proper brake function. No ABS and no traction control. Drive accordingly.

 

So that combination of the three is so common it gets a name? or is it any three lights at a time?
