My 1985 RRC 3.5 V8 needs a new 5 speed gearbox.

I can get a 5 speed with transfer case from a 3.5 V8 Discovery.

Can anyone tell me if the Discovery gearbox and transfer case will just bolt straight into the RRC and if the gear shift will be in the same location etc.

In other words, are these a simple swap?

If they are the same transmissions than yes. You might have to change over a few minor things but overall a direct swap
