I have a 98 Disco 1. The passenger door will not unlock with the remote. All the pullup tabs come up on all the doors when remote is used. I can unlock passenger door with key and it opens. The door will open if it is not locked with remote, once remote is used to lock or unlock I can not open door from inside or outside. Do I need to replace an actuator or the electric door lock? Or is it the same thing? Thank you

 

You need to remove the door panel and lube the latch and linkage with WD-40 or similar. Work the mechanism back and forth. May need to adjust the actuator also. It is slotted, move and try. The latch is mechanical on Disco I.
