Does anyone know what this up/down function is supposed to do?

My seats move in all the other directions but this adjustment doesn’t do anything. All the under seat fuses look ok.

If it matters, this is an ‘02 SD. I previously had an SE and can’t recall what it did.

It might be because it’s an SD. You should post your technical questions in the Disco 2 part of this forum.

I think that's the lumbar support. I have a feeling that it's only installed on the driver's seat, and may not be on all models.

 

I agree It looks like a lumbar support. Try using it while in the seat and see if you can feel anything moving in the back area.

 

Thanks! That sounds about right. Maybe it's not on the SD, but they didn't bother making two switches.
