Electrical issue with my discovery
Hi , I am havingelectrical problems with my discovery 96 where my battery is dying while driving because my alternador is not working correctly. Replaced Battery few times with a battery from Costco (100 monts warranty) and I also replaced Alternator ( when I took this one to autozone they say the diodes were bad), replaced battery and alternator and issue still there. ( only 12 volts when measure voltage thru both battery post. It is possible that I have a bad ground, your guys can give an idea where to look for.

It is me again about my electrical issue. I checked the new alternator for grounding and I found out that it is not connected to ground. The Mechanic who changed the alternator did
not connected the cables correctly after the repair. I am not sure if ground is the one of the middle (center) or the one of the button.
Note: when I checked the voltage while the car was running itpresented 6 volts on the center and 6 volts on the lower connectors.
Please tell me if I should connect ground to the middle or to the lower connection.
Thank you for checking out.

I don't have my disco home today, but if your asking to connect the ground to an electrical terminal - DO NOT
The ground connects to a mounting point for the alternator (against the aluminum housing, and then to frame or body probably near where the (-) cable from the battery connects.
The electrical connectors are for Positive connections & grounding them WILL break something (bank account?)
