97 Discovery won't turn over HELP!
Hi everyone,
My 97 Discovery has been in my driveway for about 3 weeks now because it won't turn over. It would stall and shut off while driving before finally leaving me stuck on the side of the road. It act as if it does not have gas although I have half a tank. So here is what I did so far to no success;
* Made sure I have gas
* Check fuses
* Installed a new fuel pump
* Changed fuel filter
* Changed spark plugs
Really need this car up and running soon and could use the help of some LR veterans!! Is there anything I should checking/changing??
Fyi, check engine light came on after issue appeared but before the car died. Called several mechanics but no one wants to come out to check it.
Thanks everyone,
Alex

1. Turns over means the engine rotates by the starter when tried. Fan belt moves. If not, then battery, dirty cables and lugs, immobilization, starter relay, frame ground, etc.
2. Won't start - no fuel - check fuel pressure on passenger side test valve (tire valve) on the fuel injection rail - looking for 32-34 psi. Pump should run for about 2 seconds when key turned to position 2.
3. Won't start - no spark - check with plug wire and something shoved into the end of it to manifold, look for sparks when cranking. -
