I have a 2001 disco 2 and I'd like to add fog lights. It has a button on the left of the dash board that indicates fog lights and the light comes on when button is pushed, but it doesn't have fog lights and never had. Is it as simple as plugging some up? Please help. Thank you.

 

That's fascinating. I thought they all had fogs. Do you have an SE?

As far as I know, the wiring harnesses are the same within the same year model, except for SAI. My guess is that you do have the wires bundled up somewhere.

Also, it is pretty easy to wire up fogs to the switch. If you go to an auto parts store and get a cheap fuse block, some wire, and a relay. The Clerk can tell you what to do (I've added extra fogs to mine).

 

That switch is for the tail light fogs and if you activate it and go look you'll see what I'm talking about. The switch for front fogs is left of the heater controls on the switch panel under the clock/emergency flashers and more than likely don't have that switch. Paul Grant was selling the switches for em here in the for sale section. D1/D2 same same.
