Fuel pump or vehicle speed sensor, OR...?
Been having some problems recently with the throttle cutting out at speed. My first thought was the vehicle speed sensor but I'm not too sure. It seems to fit all the signs, but will still cut out in 3rd, not just D.
Also, my fuel pump has had some problems since I have owned the rig. Usually though its only if its below freezing outside, and only lasts till the engine is warmed up. I've also had a check engine light for a while and the code that comes up is for a cam shaft position sensor, could that be causing this?
The speedometer has cut out once, but usually doesn't.
Should I just take the speed sensor off and see what happens? In theory it shouldn't mess with anything besides disabling the speedometer right? So if I take it off and still have problems then its something else?
Also, where can I buy this sensor? I've found a few online for less than $100 although they are all out of stock. Only ones I've found in stock are over $300 and that seems ridiculous. Checked atlanticbritish, amazon, parts geek, etc.
