getting tired of my ambient lighting LOL!!
bobby, that is the Mass Air Flow sensor.
I was throwing faults on my disco maf, bought a good used one on ebay, ($40 - $50) cleaned mine w/maf cleaner (2 min.) & been fine for months now. I'm keeping the 2nd as a spare as they can be fragile.
The whole job took 15 min. with a screwdriver.

Is this the part that I need? Do I need anything else to do the job? Thanks!

Wanted to give a quick THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for saving me time, money, and sanity. I got the sensor for $125 and changed it myself in 5 mins. Car is running GREAT and my ambient lighting is gone!!! Also it has triggered me to fix alot of other little, but expensive at the mechanics, problems with the car. Feel like I have a new 2000 RR. THANKS AGAIN!!
Glad everything worked out.
i just got back from the shop this afternoon, I get to have my head gaskets done next week, looks like I get to take another shot at my extended warranty company.
