Hi all new to 'rovers. friend has a discovery I think and I drove it today and pedal feels kinda hard to me is this normal ? used to the "soft" feel of chevy and fords. I know it's a hydraulic system, but seems like a vacuum booster system with no vacuum assist. any feed back would be much appreciated.

 

Assuming you are talking about your brake pedal???????
If so, then you need to make sure your booster is working, has vaccum and that the ABS unit is working.
