what does the button on the right side of the sterring wheel do it looks like 2 lines with hell i dont no a table over it do

without pictures it's difficult to be sure which one you're talking about but I'm going to guess the cruise control on/off button.

Default 2000 disco

sorry im new to the land rover just bought a 2000 disco and cant wait to see what can do in the dirt.. yes it looks like an over pass.. cruise control that sounds likley..

That is the international symbol for a motorway, or expressway here in the US.
That is the cruise control master power switch, just turn it on and forget about it.
