Default Help My rover don't start

Hello, I have a 2000 LR dico2 and I was getting the truck ready for a long trip and decided to change the crank position sensor, truck was running fine until I did this,

I put the new part in, checked all the fuses and tried to start,,,,noting,,,, turns over but no start, double checked everything and still noting, just wondering if I was to disconnect the battery b4 doing the swap,,, because when I first did this it blew the engine fuse,
changed it then still nothing, but now I don't hear the pump activating b4 I start the truck. I did press the inertia switch and still no start,,,,what could have gone wrong,,,,can someone help me please, I have to leave this weekend.

What fuse # and at what point did it blow? And by the way...always pull the negative when working on anything on it (making sure to hold down the alarm switch when reconnecting, drivers window should be down)

is the new sensor installed correctly, sensor, spacers, then nuts. it is very common to put them together in the wrong order

Tracker will that prevent the alarm from going haywire when the battery is reconnected?

I've also read to be sure that the ignition is at position II when disconnecting the battery.

ok,,,,thank you so much for the response,,, I will double check the way I installed it, but I think I did put the Spacers First then the Sensor and Nuts,,,,,

Also when I pressed the inertia switch the hadzars came on it own,, at that time I had to disconnect the battery to shut off,,,,

as I was researching for answers I found out that I may have activated imobolize mode almost like a security kill switch, now how do I fix this,,, when my key remote buttons are not working neither is my door lock key working,,,in other words I can not use my key to reset my security,, how can I fix this w/o taking to the dealer?

yes, spacer first would be incorrect and very common mistake. sensor , spacer, nut seems dumb but its a land rover

Pressing the inertia switch turns your fuel pump back on (if it was working before) and STOPS your hazards. Activating the intertia switch (like, if you had a wreck, maybe if you got towed, or whatever activates it) is supposed to shut the truck off, stop the fuel, and make the hazards flash so rescuers can find you. If your truck is immobilized it is from something else, but I think you just need to press the inertia switch harder. It should click when you press it all the way down.

If your truck is immobilized that is a really bad deal and means that it thinks it has been stolen, so try everything else first.
