Hey guys, i just got my Range(98 P38 HSE) out of the shop for door lock repair and a busted alternator. When i was leaving i noticed my radio had four dashed lines where the "Code In" msg should appear. The radio is not responding to any of the buttons and i cant even enter the security code. My mechanic says he doesnt understand why its doing that since they never touched the radio, and it was working fine when i brought it in. Is there anything i can do or should know about this issue?

From what I've heard, you need to get a code from the dealer (should be based on your VIN) to reset it. They can also tell you how to enter it. Should just be a phone call if your local LR dealer isn't a complete jackass
