Hi im new to all this ,thanks to your forums ive learnt that my series 1 99 model discovery runs both YES CHEAPER (i know)
And smother on 10 digrees btd
It starts first turn ,before it took 2 goes to start.
Before my timing was 2 dregrees atdc way to advanced.
So grab a timing light loosen your dissy nut with a 9/16 and go with 10 degrees
This is for the v8 ! Mine is a d55 4.6 ? bottom end with 3.9 heads and manafold

 

Good for know, but most 99 owners will have an electronic fuel injection with timing determined by the ECU and no distributor to twist. You must have an older Lucas system, as compared to the GEMS or Bosch systems.
