Default How to disable steering wheel radio control

My 2001 Disco is having issues with the steering-mounted radio control. It is jammed and I can't change the station or lower the volume. I took out the fuse because the volume is stuck too loud and the station is stuck to one particular station that I don't listen to. I figure if I bypass the steering wheel control I should be able to get the radio to work since it was working just fine prior to the incident. Any suggestions?

Remove the airbag cover and unplug the controls.
There are 2 bolts on the back of the steering wheel, the cover will come off and the wire harness should be right there.

Make sure you unhook the trucks battery for no less than one hour before you start so the air bag does not go off in your face and shove a screwdriver through your skull.
