Default How Do I improve fuel economy on 2006 LR3

I have a 2006 Land Rover LR3. I am only averaging 15 mpg in the summer with highway driving. I can only average 12 mpg during cool weather. My vehicle has been perfectly maintained by the local Land Rover dealer in Indianapolis. I have a new Fuel tank, fuel pump, and full cleaning of the entire fuel rail and injectors. The dealership does not have any suggestions for me. I would like to make modifications to improve fuel economy and HP if possible. This vehicle has 82,000 miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

You are getting better mileage than I am, so things can always get worse.

Check and see if your LR3 has platinum spark plugs. If not, try installing them. They will help a little with performance and fuel economy. '

Also check into a K&N airfilter. I have them in all my vehicles.

Good luck.

What engine do you have?
The V8 requires premium gas and using regular will lower MPG, if I remember right the V6 recommends premium but not sure.
Check tire psi, use the cruise, drive no faster than 65mph, keep the windows up, nothing on the roof, leave your mother in-law at home.
