Default Idiot Question

Here I am under my newly aquired 97 Discovery ready to install the new crank sensor, but I cannot, for the life of me, get the plastic cover protecting it to come loose. Hate to pry to hard thinking it may be attached under one of the sensor bolts. Anyone ever have this one? Should I just pull and pry harder?

No such thing as stupid questions, only stupid answers.

Pull harder.

Does the DI have the same 2 nuts on the cover like the DII, and if so, did you remove them both?
If so, and if you have, follow Spike's advise.

Sounds like a good stupid reply. take the 2 bolts out first to remove the cover then the 2 for the sensor.
