Default Instrument cluster has failure during driving???

Hey all, I have recently been having issues with my instrument cluster having failure after driving my 1996 Range Rover for a bit. After driving the fuel gauge and temp gauge shut off except for a yellow and red led light. If I am driving longer all of the gauges stop working including the message display. It has not affected the drivability of the truck but I cannot tell how fast I am going or how much gas. If anyone has any ideas on a fix please send them my way.
Take care!

How is the battery. if the battery has been tested to be good by someplace then its possible the alternator might be going out.

I was kind of thinking that. I had this problem last fall and bought a new battery and it was all good up until recently. I am hoping that it is the alternator because it may be the easiest fix and is something that I can do. Thanks for the reply!
