Default KEEP BLOWING HEAD GASKETT on 300TDI

Hi, i own a 96 TDi disco and had my head reco'd andgaskett replaced 5 months ago,
Now there is a chuffing noise from the back of the head! i felt down the back of the head and air is chuffing out of the gaskett!!
I assume the gaskett has gone again and the mechanic has wiped his hands of it claiming their prone to doing head gasketts ALL THE TIME and its a design fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has anyone else heard of this FAULT or is he full of ****!!! PLEASE HELP

I think your mechanic is looking for an easy way out of his responsibility to make it right. Probably time to lean on him, have an attorney write a demand letter and see what happens.

I've never even heard of a 300Tdi blowing the head gasket - why was it recon'd and the gasket replaced in the first place? If it's been seriously over heated then the head might be warped - hence the repeat performance. What was done for the head recon - was it skimmed?
