Hey guys I’m an automotive tech looking for help with a good friends Land Rover discovery 2014 SDV6 diesel. 140,000kms.

The story is the transmission control switch from inside the vehicle was getting stuck from time to time. It has eventually stopped working and the vehicle was stuck in Drive and the emergency release cable would not even work to get the vehicle into neutral. I have plugged in my diagnostic scanner showing all sorts of transmission codes and they have lead me to replace the Gear selector Module with a brand new unit from land rover genuine.

I disconnected the battery, replaced the unit, started the vehicle up and now the rotary Gear selector **** will not even Rise up and remains in Park. You can now pull on the emergency lever and the vehicle will go into neutral although it still remains to have many codes which I can list if anyone with land rover experience or is a Land Rover expert can help me resolve this It would be very very much appreciated and I can help if required.

Note- vehicle battery is fully charged at 12.9 volts when ignition is on and alternator charging at nearly 15 volts when vehicle is running.
Car battery is healthy and in check.

Current codes are as below and dash showing, Gearbox fault, HSC, etc

U101B-87 lost communication with GSM.
U0404-64 invalid data sent from gear shift module

U201B-54 control module calibration data 2
U0404-68 invalid data sent from gear shift control module

P0705-09 transmission range sensor A circuit (gear P, N, R, D low)

P0705-46 transmission range sensor A circuit (gear P,N,R,D low)

P084F-11 P/N Switch output circuit

P084F-15 P/N switch output circuit
