Default Lights Problem

Hi hope someone can help with this one.

We have a 1985 Defender 90 and have a problem with the lights. We have side lights, and full beam but no dipped beam on either side.

Have checked the fuses and all seem OK. Can anyone suggest where I go from here?

Cheers

not sure on your defender, but ,usually, such relays are in the dash on defenders. relays are supposed to be 300tdi onward for headlights. the main switch has been documented to occasionally get hot and melt plastic.
alot of folks do modification, in order have brighter beams or additional spots/fogs and to alleviate flickering.
mine looks like a murder of crows have nested back there.
