So I have bought a jlr mangoose cable for my vogue. It costs $50 only, works ok. But cannot be installed on win7 or win8, only xp system.

 

Install "xp mode" on windows 7 ultimate.

Or vmware.

 

I know this is a dumb question but how to install "xp mode" on win 7?

Land Rover SDD+Mongoose setup instruction and note:

Step 1: put into CD SDD 134
Install SDD_DVD134_FULL.exe in the CD
then install SDD_DVD134.01.exe
Finally install SDD_DVD134.04.exe

Step 2: After complete setup the first step, put into CD SPA_DVD134
Install SPA_DVD134_V0.exe
Finally install VDF_J_DVD134_V5.exe

Step 3: after complete setup the second step, put into CD VDF_L_DVD134
setup VDF_L_DVD134_V5.exe

Step 4: setup jlr134-license.exe, the password to extract the folder is: jlr134-license-software
finally setup driver J2534_Mongoose_JLR_x86

 

Check your programs as XP mode might already be loaded as an option as mine already is.

 

I have one another JLR Mangoose Pro SDD V139, it is compatible with win7, it cost me $69.

 

This morning, got an email from my vendor, they say their engineer test mongoose V139 works well. They send me 3 photos to prove, I would like to share with all of you, please check. Besides they make a video tutorial and will share on YouTube.

 

I just ordered the icarsoft i930, seems to do all LR codes incl. SRS and ABS. Paid $150 for it; who is using this and what are your experiences?

i am just informed you that the new v142 sdd can be loaded on win 7
If the dealer webpage says it can be installed on win 7, it will properly not
but if the dealer tested and bring us a test video, it will do
google is always our friend
