Default MAF worn, will driving cause problems to Disco 2?

Want to say hello and thanks for such a great forum.

Lurking has helped me realize that I have all the codes needed for a MAF sensor problem. p0171 and 174 and the 3rd 4th gear code.

Just had the head gaskets and valve work done, along with the timing chain and oil pan gasket. Full engine/cooling system flush
Bottom end looked great. NEW plugs, and wires are less than a year old.

I HAVE a new MAF sensor on the way, but can I drive my Disco 2 (2000) without causing any damage in the meantime?? I dont want to undo all the work done. THANKS

Dave

For a couple of days, you'll be fine.
