Default My disco II Keeps shuting off when I drive it for no reason

hey people, I have a nice 02 disco II, I was driving down the road and all of a sudden my disco started to sputter, I gave it more gas and it just stalled. I sat on the side of the road for a minute and it would not start back up? I am confused. It did it about three times in a row. Since then its been ok, and now my gauge panel has the hill desent light on and also the traction control light is on, and they both wont go out. Any ideas to what this might be? Mass air flow sensor? Fuel pump? I am now affraid to drive my disco cause I am affraid that I will get stuck. Oh! the day it stalled it wouldnt start at all, it just would not kick over but it has a strong crack seems like its something with the fuel or something. I had it towed home, and as soon as the guy took it off the tow truck, I started it up! What is wrong with my truck????? Please help!!!!!!!!!! comments

I have a 2000 Disco II and this happened to me recently as well. Very weird. Turned out to be some sensor, which cost me about $550 to fix! Ugh! I'll take a closer look at the invoice and let you know the specifics.

Try driving it for a good reason.

In my experience when this happens its always good to check the engine ecu for oil ingress. This only happens to the diesel Disco, you dont mention the engine particulars so i am just guessing . It will be in the red connector on the ecu next to the battery, shine a flashlight into the ecu box to see if you can see any oil.Let me know what you find and i will dig a little more if this isnt the problem, all the best Paul
