My radio died! Help!!!

OK...i have tried the file hanger "runers" and have not hadd much luck. I slid them in and stabbed around gently at all angles and depths. hmmm? is there a special "spot" i should feel or connect with?

radio problem , the radio powers on but the keys and the volume do not work>
The Alpine XQD101390LNF head unit: Discovery II checked inside fuses they are fine, Cd player doesnt make that annoying clunking sound either?
