I stopped celebrating this holiday. Hood pins!

 

Did it last year. The action was so stiff that 1arm of the plastic t handle broke while i tried open the hood.

Disconnecting the other end from the hood latch and suspending it to the open hood allowed me to relieve the tight curves and feed it good amounts of oil using gravity while actuating the cable so that it made its way in. Repeated a few times. Now works without effort.

I'm sure we are all very flattered.

 

What do folks recommend using for the oil to lube this cable? Mine is definitely not smooth.

 

you must be psychic or somethin'......I had the hood up the other day and noticed the latch was a little rusty looking.....thought I should grease it up soon.....I had no idea TODAY was the day.....lol
